Monthly virtual workshop covering relevant topics by those working through it and excelling daily.  One topic with three dynamic takeaways in just 45 minutes.  This series is to help everyone working in the Chamber industry, not just chamber executives.

Takeaways:
Advocacy – really, what is it?
While the definition of advocacy is “any action that speaks in favor of, recommends, argues for a cause, supports or defends, or pleads on behalf of others”, it can take many forms for your Chamber. We will discuss the types of efforts your Chamber can get involved with that could fall under the umbrella of advocacy for your members.

To advocate or not to advocate?
One of the hardest things for a Chamber to determine is when and what you should get involved in or voice opinions on. We will discuss strategies on how make decisions on what your Chamber advocates and lobbies for on behalf of your members.

Ok we have an opinion, now what?
So you’ve decided to endorse or oppose an issue, so now what do you do? We will discuss best practices on how to best voice your opinion to the right influencers and what you can do to get the word out about your position.
